Crown Iron Works Company recently opened its newly expanded research and development testing facility confidentially to the public. Located at Crown's corporate headquarters complex in Roseville, Minnesota, the 5690 square foot facility provides a safe and secure controlled environment for oilseed processors and specialty chemical manufacturers to conduct materials process research & development and limited pilot plant production runs with complete security and assured confidentiality. Continuous pilot plant production capacities range from less than 25 lbs/hr up to 25 TPD. Designed to provide limited production runs on a contract basis for customers, the pilot plant facilities are unique in that raw materials are prepared, dried, solvent extracted, and desolventized all on a continuous production basis.
All extraction equipment contact surfaces are stainless steel and handle most process solvents. It's the only known facility of its size to provide true continuous processing of materials from raw tote to finished product, and assures protection of customer proprietary information with proven safeguards. With the advent of our continuous High Pressure Liquid Extraction process, the operation has many attributes to offer to potential clients. |
